After a long run in various solo and group music projects across the southern United States, Mike put together an ensemble of seasoned musicians and songwriters.
The Backseat Soundtrack lineup includes:
- Mike Vincent Fisher on Keys/Lead Vox
- Nigel Clark on Guitar/Backup Vox

Originally performing under the name MVF, Backseat initially found success with the release of “Glow” in Summer 2019, performing their first shows at popular music venues including Mohawk and Stay Gold. Although MVF studio recordings included many electronic, synth, and experimental elements, the band focused on traditional rock band musicianship and production value. From the beginning, live shows were a staple of the band’s success incorporating keys, synth, multiple guitars, drums, bass, multiple vocals, as well as several percussive and rhythmic elements.
In early 2020, the band decided to change the name to Backseat Soundtrack, immediately releasing the single “Freezing”, as well as a live performance video for their song “John” filmed at Stinson Studios in Austin, TX.
